Harsh Arts

Harsh Arts is just a small shop on Bora Bazar St on Akurli Road. We’ve been here for quite some time now. It’s a busy spot and we are usually tucked away inside working on various projects. We do stuff with art, boards, and signs mostly. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning. We just have a couple of fans and a lot of materials stacked up against the walls. Some days are quieter than others, but there’s always something to do. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to get the job done. People from the neighborhood know they can just walk in and talk to us about what they need. We don't use any fancy machinery, mostly just hand tools and old-school techniques. We think that gives the work a bit more character. Sometimes a customer comes in with a vague idea, and we sit down with a pencil to sketch it out. It takes time, but that's how we like it. The rainy season is always a bit of a challenge because we have to keep the materials dry. We have some old plastic sheets we throw over things. It’s just the way it goes. We've lived in this area for a long time, so we've seen kids grow up and start their own businesses. It’s a nice feeling to be a part of that. We aren't looking to become a huge chain or anything. Staying local and doing the work is enough for us.
