Hapag-Lloyd Global Services Pvt Ltd

I spend most of my day here at Hapag-Lloyd Global Services dealing with a lot of screens. We do not have a specific street address listed for this part of the office, so it feels a bit tucked away from the main bustle. It is a lot of back-office work, mainly keeping track of where the containers are going across the ocean. The air conditioning in this building is always freezing, so I usually keep a heavy sweater on the back of my chair. We have these long rows of grey desks and everyone is mostly quiet, just clicking their mice and typing away at their spreadsheets. I have been working here for a couple of years now. It is a lot of data entry and checking shipping manifests over and over. Sometimes the internal systems go down and we all just sit around talking about what we are going to have for lunch. There is a tea lady who comes around twice a day, and that is usually the highlight of my morning. My desk is right near a window, but I can only see another tall building across the way. It is a steady job, nothing too exciting or fancy. We handle a lot of emails from people in different time zones, so the work piles up while we sleep. We just try to get through the files without making any big errors. By five o'clock, my eyes are usually tired from the glare. It is just regular office life.
