Kanak Pipe Industries Pvt. Ltd. can be found at No. 96 Liladhar Mansion on the first floor. It is office number 12. We are located on Kika Street in Gulalwadi, which is a very old part of the city. The lanes are narrow and always packed with carts and people carrying things. It is a real struggle to get a vehicle through here sometimes. Our office is in an old building with high ceilings and thick walls. We deal in all sorts of pipes and industrial tubes. The air smells like iron and old paper. Most of the day is spent on the phone or writing out invoices by hand. We have piles of metal samples on the floor and catalogues that have been flipped through a thousand times. It is a very traditional way of doing business. We know most of the other shop owners on the street. We have been here for a long time, so we do not feel the need to change much. When a customer comes in, they usually know exactly what they want. We just have to check if we can get it from the godown quickly. It gets very humid in this part of town during the summer.
