Our shop, Aman Fittings Pvt. Ltd., is located on the ground floor of the Kedy Shopping Centre at units 51 and 52. If you know the Bellasis Road area in Mumbai, you know it’s a place that never really stays quiet. We’ve been dealing with all sorts of fittings for a long time now. We sell the small parts, the ones people usually need when they’re fixing up a bathroom or working on plumbing in an old building. The shelves are packed with boxes, and sometimes you have to move a few things around to find the exact piece someone is looking for. We aren't trying to be a polished corporate office. This is a practical shop where the floors get a bit dusty from the street outside, but the work gets done. My cousin often handles the counter while I speak with the people who supply our stock. Most of our customers are locals who just pop in because they live or work nearby. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. We just rely on people knowing that we’re here on Bellasis Road and that we usually have what they need in stock. It gets pretty chaotic with the cars and pedestrians right outside our door, but it makes the day go by fast. We enjoy the regular chats with the builders and homeowners who have been coming to us for years. It’s a straightforward business and we just keep it running.
