We spend our days on the third floor of Akruti Arcade. It is located on J P Road, right across from Wadia High School. You can usually hear the school bell ringing or the kids shouting during their lunch break if the windows are open. Being in Andheri West means there is always something going on outside. The building itself has been around for a bit and we have made ourselves comfortable in room 307. It is not a massive office, but it fits the few of us who are here every day. We usually grab lunch from one of the small shops downstairs. The hallway outside can be a bit dim sometimes because the lights flicker, but we don't mind much. We have our desks set up near the back. Usually, the morning starts with a lot of phone calls and sorting through mail that gets dropped off by the postman. He knows us by name now. There is a lot of walking back and forth between the cabinets. We keep things pretty simple here. No big paintings or expensive furniture, just the stuff we need to get the job done. Sometimes the monsoon rain hits the windows pretty hard and we have to make sure everything is shut tight. It is just a normal office where we put in our hours and then head home. Dealing with the JP Road traffic is just a thing we have to do every single day.
