Chembur is home for us, and I run things from Flat No 46 in Block No 8. This is over in the Bpcl colony area. If you know where Ashish Theatre is, then you are pretty much in my neighborhood. It’s a comfortable part of town, and working from a flat means things stay quite informal. I don't have a big storefront with a neon sign. It’s just a regular residence where I handle my business affairs. Most of the people I work with are from around here or come through recommendations from friends and neighbors. I’ve lived in this block for quite some time, and I like the community feel of the Bpcl area. It’s quieter than the main roads, which helps when I need to focus on work. My desk is usually covered in papers and my laptop is always on. There isn't a staff or a team; it’s just me, Govind, taking care of what needs doing. I don't really have a grand vision or a fancy title for what I do. I just provide my services to those who need them and try to be fair about it. On some days, I might spend more time chatting with neighbors at the gate than being at my desk, but that’s the benefit of being a local business. It’s a slow and steady pace of life here near Ashish Theatre.
