Operating out of Malad West is a bit of a challenge sometimes because of how crowded the streets get, especially on 16th Main. Our office at number 207 is right in the middle of all that noise. Good Earth Minerals Pvt Ltd is basically a small team of us who know a lot about the rocks and minerals we handle. We don’t spend a lot of time making things look pretty; our desks are usually covered in samples and paperwork. The humidity in this part of town can be really something during the monsoon, and we’re often scurrying to keep everything dry. We talk to suppliers and transport guys all day long. Some days the phones don't stop ringing and other days we’re just sitting there checking the inventory lists over and over. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We’ve had the same few people working the phones and the loading for years now. We know most of the shop owners around Malad West by their first names. It isn't a corporate setup with glass walls. It's more of a place where you can walk in and see exactly what's happening. We focus on the minerals and getting them where they need to go. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the local traffic, but we try our best to manage. We just do what we do and try to stay out of trouble. It's a steady life here for the whole crew.
