Golden Sweet

Golden Sweet is tucked away in Bhanushali Wadi at number 8, right on Bhanushali Lane in Ghatkopar East. We are a small local shop that has been making various kinds of sweets for the people in this neighborhood for many years. Our days usually start very early when we get the milk delivered so we can start boiling it down in the big metal vats in the back. The kitchen gets quite warm from all the stoves, but that is just part of making traditional mithai. We have a few glass counters at the front where we display what we have made fresh that morning. You will find mostly milk-based sweets and some dry fruit options depending on the season. During festival times, the shop gets very crowded and we spend almost all our time packing boxes and tying ribbons. It is a family-run operation, so you will often see the same few faces behind the counter every time you visit. We don't have a team of people doing our marketing or social media. We just focus on the recipes we have been using for a long time. The lane outside is narrow and can get a bit congested, but our regulars know exactly where to find us. We are just a local sweet shop that serves the community without any of the fancy bells and whistles you see in bigger stores. It’s a simple life and we keep at it day after day.
