Golden Memories

Our place is at 4/132 in the Mahalaxmi area, very close to the Reay Road Station. It’s an old part of Mumbai, and our building has that classic look you find in this part of the city. Being near the station is actually very convenient for us because the trains are the easiest way to get around here. You can hear the sounds of the city all day long, from the station announcements to the traffic on the road. It’s a small space, but we’ve made it work for us over the years. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from someone else. We spend most of our time inside, working on whatever project is current. It’s not a corporate environment at all; it’s just a few of us trying to do a good job. We have our routine, starting early and finishing whenever the work is done. Sometimes we sit and have tea while talking about the day’s tasks. It’s a relaxed but busy atmosphere. We like being in Mahalaxmi because it feels authentic, like the real Mumbai. We aren’t trying to be anything we’re not. We just provide what we can from our little corner of the city. The space is a bit cramped when we have a lot of stuff delivered, but we manage to keep it going. It’s a decent life here.
