Gokul Castings & Engineering

Our workshop is at Nanda Bhavan on Bajaj Road. Vile Parle (W) is a lively place, and we’ve been part of it for quite a bit. At Gokul Castings & Engineering, we mostly deal with metal parts and mechanical bits. It’s dusty work, and the machines can be quite loud when they’re running. We spend most of our time on the shop floor. The office is just a small corner where we keep the ledger and the phone. We don't really have a front desk or anyone to greet you with a smile; you usually just find one of us covered in a bit of shop grime. We take the blueprints people bring in and try to make sense of them. Engineering is mostly about solving problems as they come up. We have a few old lathes and some newer tools too. The space is a bit cramped at number 4, but we’ve learned how to move around each other. We get a lot of local walk-ins looking for specific castings. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We wear old clothes and work until the job is finished. Sometimes we stay late when a casting needs to cool or a machine breaks down. It’s just how it goes in this trade. We don't have a website with fancy photos. If you want to see what we do, you just come by the shop and talk to us directly. We’ve been here long enough that most people know where to find us on Bajaj Road.
