Godwin Cables

We are located right near the Western Express Highway in Vile Parle West. Shanker Wadi is the spot, and our building is number 22. Being so close to the highway means we hear the trucks and cars all day long. Godwin Cables has been in this space for a bit. We spend most of our time dealing with different types of heavy wires and large wooden spools. It is a bit dusty inside because of the road work that always seems to be happening nearby. The shop is not very large, but we pack it full of whatever stock comes in from the suppliers. Sometimes it is honestly hard to move around when a new shipment arrives and takes up the floor space. We usually have the radio playing to help drown out some of the traffic noise. It is not a quiet or clean job, that is for sure. We do not have a fancy showroom or any bright lights to show off the products. People just walk in off the street, ask for the specific gauge they need, and we pull it from the back or the side shelf. The neighborhood is always active. Shanker Wadi has plenty of small shops like ours. We mostly just focus on getting the right cables to the people who ask for them. It is honest, practical work. Sometimes we get a bit behind on the filing, but keeping the physical stock sorted is what actually matters most to us in the end.
