Global Champs

Surya Darshan Society is a quiet enough place compared to the main road. We are in units 770 and 771. Global Champs is basically where the local kids spend their time. It’s located in MHB Colony in Mahavir Nagar. Being in Kandivili West means there is always a lot of activity around us. We are right opposite Punchsheel Residency and near Hotel Sankalp, which is a good landmark if you’re getting lost. The morning starts with the sound of gates opening and parents dropping off their little ones. The space is filled with small chairs and shelves that never seem to stay organized for long. There’s usually a faint smell of crayons and maybe some spilled juice. We don't have a corporate office vibe here. It’s just a bunch of rooms that we’ve tried to make comfortable. The staff is mostly local people who live nearby. We spend our time managing the daily routine and making sure nobody gets hurt. It’s a lot of work and sometimes it feels like we’re just chasing our tails. We don't use a lot of fancy teaching words. We just help the kids learn their basics and keep them busy. The neighbors in the society are used to the noise by now. It’s a community-centered spot where everyone knows everyone else’s name. We’re just here doing our thing day after day.
