Hemant Brothers

Hemant Brothers is based out of Shop No. 5 in Mehta Mansion. We are on the 3rd floor, which is a bit of a climb if the stairs are feeling long that day. Our shop is in Kumbharwada, Girgaon, which is one of those old parts of Mumbai that still has a lot of character. We are quite close to the Ram Temple, so we hear the bells and the prayers every day. It’s a busy neighborhood with narrow lanes and lots of people selling all sorts of things. The building itself is quite old, and our space is filled with the history of the business. We don’t have a modern office with glass walls; it’s more about old wooden desks and stacks of ledgers that have been around for years. Girgaon is a place where everyone knows everyone, so we often have people dropping by just for a chat or a glass of water. Our work is steady and we don't feel the need to rush things or act like a big corporation. We just do what we’ve always done, focusing on our daily tasks and making sure our regulars are taken care of. Sometimes the traffic in Kumbharwada is a nightmare, but you get used to it after a decade or two. It’s home for us, and we like the pace of life here.
