We've been sitting here on Marol Maroshi Road for quite some time now. If you take the 26th cross or walk down the 39th main, you’ll find us easily. It’s just a regular spot where we keep the glass counters full of stuff. Every morning, the first thing we do is check the trays. It gets pretty busy around tea time because folks in the neighborhood like a little something sweet or salty to go with their chai. We don't have fancy lights or anything. Just the usual fans spinning and the smell of sugar and fried snacks hanging in the air. Sometimes the floor gets a bit sticky when the crowd is heavy, but we try to keep up. It’s mostly just us and a few helpers making sure the boxes are packed right. People come in, ask what’s fresh today, and we tell them. There’s no big secret to how we run things. We just show up, open the shutters, and stay until the evening. The street outside is always noisy with autos and people rushing to work. Inside, it’s a bit calmer. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their face even if we don’t always know their names. It’s a simple way to spend the day. We’ve seen kids grow up and start coming in with their own money. That's just how it goes for Geeta Sweets in this part of Marol.
