Geeta Felxible Packaging Works

Geeta Flexible Packaging Works is situated at number 13 in Gamdevi. We operate out of Sethna House on the 80 Feet Road. It’s an old building and we’ve been in this spot for quite a while now. The work here is mostly about packaging materials. It can get pretty noisy with the machines running all day long. There is always the smell of plastic and ink in the air. We have rolls of material stacked up against the walls and sometimes it feels like we are running out of space. My hands are usually a bit dirty from the work, and the floor is never really perfectly clean no matter how much we sweep. It’s a real workshop, not an office. People come by to pick up their orders or to talk about what kind of bags or wraps they need for their own businesses. The 80 Feet Road is always busy with trucks and cars, so it’s easy to get things moved in and out. We aren't doing anything fancy, just making sure the packaging is strong enough for whatever goes inside. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it instead of working. That’s just how it goes in a place like this. We know the other shop owners on the road and we all just do our jobs. It’s a practical life, working with our hands every day. We just keep the rollers moving and hope the electricity doesn't cut out during a big job.
