Our office is tucked away in Dadar East on Alandi Road, specifically at 14/A in the Chikhali area. It’s a bit of a walk from the main station, but it’s a nice enough area once you get here. We deal with a lot of documents and records every day. If you walked in, you’d see rows of shelves filled with folders and a few computers that have been with us for a good number of years. We aren't much for modern design; we prefer things that are functional and easy to find. The staff here is small, mostly just a few of us who have worked together for a long time. We know each other's habits and how we like our tea. The phone rings a lot with people asking about their filings or needing some advice on a specific form. We try to give them straight answers without using too much technical jargon that nobody understands. It’s quiet work for the most part, punctuated by the sound of a printer going or someone shuffling through old records. Some days we stay late to finish up things when it’s tax season or when there’s a big pile of work on the desk. We don’t mind it much. It’s just how things are in this profession. We’ve built a steady rhythm here in Dadar East, and we’re content with the way things run day after day.
