S. K. Dharia & Co.

Our shop is over in Building Number 10 on Nagdevi Street. It’s right in the Nakhuda Mauhalla area, which is always crowded and full of energy. If you know this part of town, you know it’s where all the hardware stuff happens. S. K. Dharia & Co. has been part of this street for a long time. It’s a narrow building, and we use every inch of it. The stairs are a bit steep and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for what we do. We deal with various industrial supplies. Mostly it’s just us answering the phone and writing down what people need. Nagdevi Street gets so packed with carts and people that sometimes even walking is a challenge. We get used to the noise after a while. Most of our days are spent checking the inventory on the shelves or talking to the guys who bring the goods. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. People who need us usually know where to find us in Nakhuda Mauhalla. It’s a lot of paperwork and manual counting. We keep things simple here. The building is old, but it holds everything we need. Sometimes we have tea at the small stall nearby while waiting for a delivery. It’s just how things are done on this street. We stay focused on the daily tasks and getting orders out to the customers. We don't mind the bustle; it keeps the day moving fast and the work feels meaningful in its own way.
