Our office is over in Andheri West, right in Ganesh Nagar on Mundhawa Road 42. It’s a place where we deal with a lot of international paperwork every single day. Sending things across borders involves a lot of forms and checking different rules for different countries. The shelves are packed with rolls of bubble wrap and thick brown boxes meant for long journeys. We have a big map on the wall that shows all the places where we can send stuff. It gets quite hectic in the afternoons when the courier pickups are scheduled to arrive. We often have to double-check the weights on our digital scale because even a few grams can change the shipping costs. The floor is usually covered in bits of tape and paper scraps by the time we finish a shift. It’s not a glamorous job at all, just a lot of packing and typing numbers into the computer system. We’ve been at this Mundhawa Road spot for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the noise from the nearby shops. People bring in everything from clothes for their relatives abroad to business documents that need to get there fast. We just make sure everything is sealed tight and labeled correctly before it goes into the van. It’s a lot of responsibility to handle people's personal items, but we just take it one box at a time and try to stay organized as best as we can in this small space.
