Fashion Centre Mumbai

Fashion Centre Mumbai is located right at Shop No. 1 in the Zia Shopping Centre on Bellasis Road. Being at the front of the building means we see a lot of people walking by every day. It’s a busy spot in a busy city. The shop isn't huge, but we pack a lot into it. We have clothes hanging from the ceiling and stacked on every shelf we could fit in there. It’s a bit of a squeeze when there are more than three people inside at once. We've been at No. 264 for a long time. The shopping centre itself has seen better days, but it’s home to us. We know all the other shopkeepers around here and we often share a tea in the mornings. We don't have a lot of high-tech stuff. We use a simple register and write things down in a book. The street noise from Bellasis Road is constant, but you stop hearing it after a while. People come in looking for something specific and we try to find it in the stacks. It’s a simple way to make a living and we enjoy the daily routine. There is always someone new walking in with a story to tell. We try to keep the place cool with a big old ceiling fan that wobbles a bit when it's on high. The Zia Shopping Centre isn't the most modern place but it works for us and our regulars.
