FAIZ AL NILE IMPEX TRADING LLP is located right here in Khand Bazar, Mumbai. If you know this area, you know how busy the streets get around Yogeshwar on Kazi Sayed Street. We spend most of our mornings just trying to get the shutters up and the first round of tea in. This trading business is mostly about making sure boxes move from one place to another without too much trouble. We deal with various items for import and export. It is not always smooth, especially when the traffic blocks the main road. Our office at Plot 135/139 is small but we keep everything organized on our old wooden desks. Some days are just filled with checking invoices and talking to transporters who say they are five minutes away but take an hour. It is a lot of back and forth on the phone. We have been here for a bit now, just handling the regular trade work that comes through this part of the city. We don't have fancy lobbies or anything like that. It is just us, some chairs, and a lot of ledgers. Most of the guys working here live nearby, so we know the neighborhood well. We just try to get the orders sorted and out the door so we can head home before the evening rush really starts. Trading is a tough way to make a living sometimes but it keeps us busy every single day.
