We operate out of Ramji Nanji Chawl on St Mary Road, which is right in the heart of Mazgaon. It is a very old-school Mumbai neighborhood, and being opposite the Mazgaon Court means there is always a lot of activity and noise around us. Our space is simple and functional because we are mostly out on the field or on the phone. Planning events in a city like Mumbai is basically about managing the logistics and the local rules. We have heaps of files and folders everywhere with notes from different venues. Some days are just spent traveling from one side of the city to the other to check on things. We do not have a polished corporate look; our office feels like a real part of the chawl. People drop in to discuss their plans and we just sit down and figure out what is possible. It can be stressful when deadlines are close, but that is the nature of this kind of work. We know the local vendors around Mazgaon and the rest of the city pretty well by now. We focus on the practical side, like making sure the trucks can park and the electricity is sorted at the venue. It is just us working hard in a small corner of Mumbai to keep things running smoothly for the people who come to us. No big secrets, just a lot of coordination and regular follow-ups.
