Events Exhibition

Events Exhibition is based out of a flat in the Anandi Building over in Malad West. It is on the second main road, and finding Flat Number 4 can be a little tricky if you aren't looking for the sign. We spend most of our mornings on the phone talking to vendors and people who have things they want to show at local fairs. The room we work in has boxes piled up in the corner from the last event we helped with. It’s not a big fancy office with glass walls. We just have a few desks and a lot of clipboards. Malad can get very loud with the traffic outside, so we usually keep the windows shut even when it’s warm. Sometimes we are out all day at different venues checking on stalls or making sure the power is working. When we are here, we are mostly typing out lists of names and making sure the floor plans make sense. It’s a lot of manual work and checking things twice. People in the building know us as the ones always carrying banners or rolls of tape. We’ve been here for a while and the landlord is used to us by now. It’s just a small group of us trying to keep things organized so the exhibitions actually happen. We don't have a receptionist, so if the bell rings, one of us just jumps up to see who it is.
