Evento is located in a very old part of Mumbai called Khoatchiwadi, right off Girgaum Road. Our office is in the Shrivastav Building, number 30 A. It is very close to the Central Plaza Cinema at Charni Road, which is how most people find us. Working in an area with so much history is interesting, even if the lanes are a bit narrow for cars. We do event planning, but we don't have a fancy, modern office. It is just a regular room filled with papers, samples, and a couple of computers. We spend most of our time on the phone or out meeting vendors. We handle everything from small family gatherings to local functions. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure the little things don't get forgotten. We don't have a big corporate team. It's just a few of us who have been doing this for a while. We know which flower decorators are reliable and which caterers actually show up on time. That kind of local knowledge is what we rely on. Sometimes things go wrong, like a delivery being late because of the Charni Road traffic, but we always find a way to fix it. We don't use much marketing language because our work usually comes from word of mouth in the neighborhood. It is a busy life, but we like the energy of Girgaum.
