Our office is actually a flat in Khar West, right in the Moru Milap Buildi. It is Flat No 501, so it is basically just a regular living space that we have turned into a workspace. It isn't some big, shiny corporate office. Mostly, it is just a few of us sitting around desks that are usually covered in schedules, phone chargers, and empty tea cups. We have been in this part of Khar for a while now and the building has that old Mumbai feel that you don't see as much anymore. Sometimes the lift acts up, but we just take the stairs and keep going. Planning stuff for people takes up almost all our time, so the rooms are often filled with fabric samples or floor plans drawn on pieces of scrap paper. It gets pretty chaotic when three phones start ringing at once and someone is trying to find a lost invoice under a pile of notes. We aren't trying to be anything huge or fancy, just a local group doing our work from this small space. The view from the window is just other buildings and the constant street noise, but it keeps us connected to the neighborhood. We drink a lot of tea while we try to figure out the logistics for the next project. Usually, the day starts slow but by noon everything is moving very fast. We don't have a lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll just see us working.
