We are based at the Profit Centre in Mahavir Nagar, Kandivili West. Our unit is F-97. It’s a pretty well-known building because it is right near the D Mart, which is always packed with people. Because of that, the whole area is usually buzzing with activity. Our office is on one of the upper floors. It’s just a standard room with some desks pushed against the walls and a few shelves for our production gear. We have cameras and tripods sitting in the corner, sometimes still in their bags from the last shoot. The light in the hallway flickers a bit, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s fine for what we need. We spend hours here editing and going over footage. Sometimes we forget to eat because we are so busy, and then we just run down to one of the stalls in Mahavir Nagar for a quick snack. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find people in suits. We usually just wear jeans and t-shirts. The work is sometimes stressful and the deadlines are tight, but being in a lively spot like this helps. We’ve been in this particular unit for a couple of years. It’s got a bit of a lived-in feel to it now, with coffee stains on the desks and notes scribbled on the whiteboards. It’s just our workspace where we try to get through the daily grind.
