Durga Medico

Durga Medico is our small chemist shop over at Shop 7 in the E Block on VP Road. We are situated right across from the Phadke Ganesh Temple here in Charni Road. It’s a good spot because people often stop by after they visit the temple or when they’re coming from the station. We keep a lot of different medicines in stock, though the shelves always look a bit crowded. It’s a narrow shop, so you have to mind your elbows when there are more than two people inside. I’ve been behind this counter for years now, helping folks find their prescriptions or just some bandages. It’s a local place where we know many of our customers by their first names. We see the same faces every month when they come to refill their heart meds or pick up vitamins. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the traffic on VP Road, but we’re used to it. We aren’t one of those big chain pharmacies with bright lights and matching uniforms. We’re just a local shop trying to make sure people get what they need for their health. The hours are long, but that’s just how it is in this business. We open early and stay until the evening rush finally dies down. It’s a simple, necessary service for the neighborhood and we’re glad to be part of the daily life around Phadke Ganesh Temple.
