If you go down Road No. 17 in Vikhroli, near the Jain Mandir, you’ll find us. We’re at 33 Vasan Bazar, right on Swarkar Road. It’s a small shop for Dtdc Courier, but we handle a lot of packages every single day. The space is mostly filled with boxes of all sizes waiting to be sent out. We’ve got a scale that’s seen better days, but it still works fine. People come in all day with letters, parcels, and sometimes weirdly shaped things they want to send across the country. We just tape them up, weigh them, and write down the details in our book. It gets pretty cramped when a big shipment arrives, but we manage. The Jain Mandir is a good landmark for people trying to find us. We’re used to the noise of the bazar right outside our door. It’s a busy street, especially in the evenings when everyone is out doing their shopping. We don’t have much room for sitting around, so it’s usually just us standing behind the counter. Sometimes the tape dispenser jams, or we run out of big envelopes, and one of us has to run out to get more. It’s just how it goes here. We know the regular customers who come in every week to send stuff to their families. It’s a basic operation. We take your box, give you a receipt, and move on to the next one in line.
