We spend most of our time here at the Matunga West office, right across from the Cultural Hall. It is a bit of a climb up to the first floor of A Wing, but we are usually here by 10 am. The flat number is 14. Usually, there are boxes stacked near the door because the morning deliveries arrive early. It gets quite loud outside when there is an event at the hall, but we just keep our heads down and sort through the manifests. People come in with all sorts of things to ship, some packed well and others just thrown in a bag. We have plenty of tape and bubble wrap on the desks. Sometimes the light in the hallway flickers, but the office inside is bright enough. We sit near the window so we can see the street below. It’s mostly just us handling the paperwork and making sure the courier bags are ready for the pick-up van. We keep a small kettle for tea because the afternoons can get long. We've been in this Matunga spot for a while now. The space is small, but it works for what we do. We don't have much wall decor, just some calendars and a clock that runs five minutes fast. Most days are just a cycle of weighing items and writing out receipts for the people who stop by.
