Drug Research Pharma

Working right on the Western Express Highway means you never really get any peace and quiet. The cars and trucks are always zooming past. We are inside Drug Research Pharma doing our thing while the world rushes by outside. It's a bit of a contrast. Inside, everything is supposed to be still and careful. We have all these machines and glass tubes for the research work. It’s not like the movies; it’s mostly just sitting and watching monitors or writing down numbers in a logbook. We wear those thin white coats and try not to spill anything. The commute here is the worst part of the day because of the highway traffic, but once you’re in, you just get used to the hum of the building. We eat our lunch together in a small room that smells like old coffee. We aren't some giant faceless company. It’s just a handful of us who have been doing this for a long time. We talk about our families and the cricket scores while we wait for the tests to finish. The building is a bit old now, and the windows are thick to keep the noise out. We just do our shifts and go home. It’s a serious job, but we are just regular people making it work. The highway is just our backdrop.
