I’m based at Shankar Sai, Room No 7, on Nandivali Road in Dombivli East. It’s near the Sai Baba Temple in Ekta Nagar. This is basically where I keep all my gear. I have my speakers, mixers, and all the wiring here. It’s a small room, but it’s home for the business. I’ve been playing music at events for quite a while now. Dombivli is a loud and lively place, so there’s always someone having a wedding or a society party. I don't have a big staff. It’s usually just me and maybe one helper to carry the heavy speakers. Moving the equipment up and down the stairs is the hardest part of the job. I spend a lot of time updating my music collection and checking the wires. My neighbors are quite patient with the occasional noise when I’m testing things. I don't have a big office or a manager. If you call, you talk to me directly. I do a lot of local gigs. Sometimes I have to travel a bit further into Thane or even Mumbai. The traffic on Nandivali Road can be a nightmare in the evenings. I’ve learned to leave early for every event so I’m not late. It’s a simple setup but the sound is good and loud. People know me in the Ekta Nagar area. It’s not a fancy life, but I like being part of people's celebrations. Just look for the Sai Baba Temple and you’re close.
