Dj-Krish (Professional Sound Fx)

My name is Krish and I run this sound setup from Kambe Gaon in Bhiwandi. I’ve always liked music and loud speakers since I was a kid, so I started Dj-Krish to do something I actually enjoy. We aren't a big agency with shiny cars or uniforms. It’s mostly just me and a couple of guys loading heavy speakers into an old van. We go to Koliwada and all over the Thane area for different events. Mostly it's weddings or local festivals where people want some loud music and decent bass. The equipment is heavy and the wires always seem to get tangled, but that’s just part of the daily job. I spent a lot of time learning how to balance the sound so it doesn't just sound like noise to the people dancing. People in Bhiwandi really like their music loud, so we make sure the speakers can handle it. We live right here, so we know all the shortcuts and the local spots. Sometimes the electricity at the venues is tricky, so we have to bring our own backups or figure something out on the fly. It's not a glamorous life, being a DJ and sound guy. You’re always the first one there to set up and the last one to leave, usually in the middle of the night. We keep our gear in good shape because if it breaks, we don't work. It’s simple like that. If you need sound for a small gathering or a street party, we’re usually around Kambe Gaon. Just look for the guy with the cables and the big boxes.
