Diva Arts is right at Borivali West, Shop No 1. It’s a small place, but we’ve managed to fit a lot into it over the years. We have frames leaning against the walls and stacks of paper tucked into corners. There is usually a bit of dust on the higher shelves because it’s hard to reach them without a ladder. We spend a lot of time measuring things. People bring in their photos or paintings, and we talk about what might look okay around the edges. We aren't designers or anything; we just know what fits. Sometimes the glue gets on our fingers and stays there all day. It’s a quiet kind of work. Borivali is always moving, but inside the shop, we’re mostly just cutting glass or checking the corners of a frame. We have a small workbench in the back that’s seen better days. It’s covered in nicks and scratches from the tools. We don't have a big window display, just a few samples of what we can do. Customers usually know what they want, but sometimes they ask us for an opinion. We just tell them what we think based on what we’ve seen work before. It’s a simple trade. We open up in the morning, sweep the sidewalk a bit, and wait for the first person to walk in. It’s been our daily life for a long time and we’re used to it.
