Our office is up on the 211th spot of Dalamal Towers in Nariman Point. It’s a busy building, always people waiting for the elevators and delivery guys running around. We are right near Tusiani Chambers, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us for the first time. Inside Disti Pvt Ltd, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of files stacked up. We try to keep it tidy, but with the amount of paperwork that comes through here, it’s a constant battle. The air conditioning is usually too cold or not cold enough, but that’s just part of being in an old high-rise. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing away. During lunch, most of us just head downstairs to grab something quick from the local stalls because nobody has time for a long break. The windows look out over other buildings, so there isn’t much of a view, but the light is okay in the afternoons. It feels like a real working office, not one of those showy places you see in magazines. We’ve got a small pantry area where the kettle lives, and that’s where most of the office gossip happens. It’s a decent place to spend the day, even if the commute to Nariman Point is a bit of a headache with the morning traffic. We just keep our heads down and get through the daily list of things to do before heading home to our families.
