Discount Drug Pharmacy

If you walk down Veer Nariman Road in the Churchgate area, you’ll find us at No. 20 Rajmahal. We’ve been here at Discount Drug Pharmacy for a good while now. The building is old, and it has that specific smell of medicine and paper that you only find in places like this. At No. 84 Veer Nariman Road, there’s always a lot of noise from the cars and the people rushing to catch trains at the station nearby. Our shop is crowded with shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. We have to use a small stool to reach the stuff on the top rows. It’s a busy life, standing behind the counter and reading prescriptions that are sometimes hard to decipher. People come in looking for all sorts of things, from bandages to life-saving pills. We just pull them from the boxes and bag them up. There isn’t much room to move around behind the glass cases, but we’ve gotten used to it. The fans on the ceiling hum all day long to keep the heat away. Sometimes a regular customer stops by just to chat for a minute while they wait for their change. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just us, making sure the inventory is right and the shop stays open when people need it most. It's a small place, but it's where we spend our lives.
