Digital Music India Pvt. Ltd. is based in the New Mhada Colony in Sion Koliwada, Mumbai. Our office is on the ground floor, unit T30/006. Being on the ground floor is handy because we are always moving equipment in and out. The colony is a busy place, and there are always kids playing or people talking right outside the door. It can get a bit noisy, but we are a music company, so we are used to sound. The office is pretty cramped with computers, speakers, and a lot of tangled wires that we really should organize better. We have been in Mumbai-22 for a long time. This city is where everything happens for music, so we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. We handle digital music bits and pieces, mostly technical stuff that people don't see. It’s not a glamorous job. We spend a lot of hours sitting in front of screens or fixing audio files. Sometimes the power goes out for a minute and we all have to wait for the backup to kick in. It’s just the way things are. We are a small group of people who just really know our way around a soundboard. We don't have a big corporate mission. We just like music and we like living in Mumbai. We’ve been in this same spot for years and most of the local shopkeepers know us.
