Matraders

Matraders is our small shop located at A - 3/370 on the 90 Feet Road in Dharavi. We are right across from the Akash Ganga Housing Society and quite near the Citizen Hotel. If you know this part of Mumbai, you know that 90 Feet Road is one of the busiest places around. There is always a lot of noise, traffic, and people walking by. We have been here for many years and have seen the area change quite a bit. Our shop isn’t very big, so we have to be careful about how we stack things. We trade in different goods, and there is always something to do, whether it’s unloading a new delivery or talking to a customer. We don’t have a big staff or any corporate rules. It’s just us working every day to keep things running. The monsoon season can be a bit of a challenge with the rain and the mud on the road, but we stay open regardless. We know most of the other shopkeepers on this stretch of road and it feels like a community. We don’t use any fancy marketing language because we don’t need to. People know where we are and what we do. It’s just a normal business in a very busy part of the city. We try to be helpful and keep our prices fair.
