Your Choice Furniture

Your Choice Furniture is sitting right on 60 Feet Road in Dharavi. We are near Parani Apartment, at number 29G. It’s a busy street and there is always something going on outside. Inside the shop, it usually smells like sawdust and wood glue. We make all kinds of things for houses like tables, chairs, and cupboards. It's not a huge showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a workshop where we actually build the stuff. My father and I have been doing this for a long time. We have a few guys who help with the heavy lifting and the polishing. The space is a bit tight because of all the wood planks leaning against the walls. We don't really follow a fancy catalogue. Most of the time, someone comes in with a sketch or an idea, and we try to make it work. It’s dusty work and our clothes always have wood shavings on them. Dharavi is a loud place, but we like it here. People stop by to check on their orders or just to see what we're working on today. We aren't trying to be a big brand. We just want to make furniture that stays together. It’s honest, hands-on work. We stay until the job is done, often late into the evening. It’s just wood and sweat. That’s how we do things here on 60 Feet Road.
