Design And Display

We are located at Ganesh Society, Room Number 1, over in Shivshakti Nagar. It’s a neighborhood where everyone knows each other’s business, which we don't mind. Our workshop is where we spend the bulk of our time. It smells like sawdust and paint most days. We make all sorts of signs and displays for local shops and people. It’s a lot of measuring and cutting and then realizing we measured wrong and having to do it again. We aren't a high-tech factory. We use our hands and some basic tools to get the job done. The space is a bit tight, especially when we have a big project taking up the floor. We started Design And Display because we liked making things that people could actually see and touch. It’s satisfying to finish a piece and see it standing up straight. Sometimes the weather makes the paint dry slow, which throws off our whole schedule. We just deal with it as it comes. We don't have a fancy showroom. Usually, customers just come by the room in Ganesh Society to see what we are working on. We keep it pretty informal here. There’s usually some music playing in the background and someone making tea. It’s a quiet life for the most part, but we stay busy enough to keep the lights on and the brushes moving. It is hard work but we enjoy it.
