Den Satellite Network Pvt Ltd is situated up in Powai, specifically in units 401 and 402. Being on the fourth floor gives us a bit of a view of the surrounding buildings, which is nice during the monsoon when everything turns green. The office itself is quite functional, filled with various pieces of equipment, wires, and tools that we use for our daily tasks. It is not the kind of place you would see in a magazine; it is more of a workshop where we actually get our hands dirty. The elevators in this building are a bit slow, so we often find ourselves waiting in the lobby chatting with the security guards. We don’t have a big reception area or anyone to greet you at the door. Usually, whoever is closest to the entrance just looks up and says hello. We have a small pantry where we make our own coffee, though it never tastes quite right. Most of our day is spent talking to people on the phone or checking the connections on the monitors. It can be a bit repetitive sometimes, but it’s what we know how to do. We are just a bunch of regular people working in Powai, trying to keep things running smoothly. There isn’t any secret to how we work; we just show up every morning and stay until the job is finished for the day. The building gets a bit quiet after six, which is when we usually start packing up to go.
