G Shoe Export is out in Dahisar East at No. 1 Hitel Industrial Estate on S. V. Road. Being in an industrial estate means it’s all business around here. There are a lot of workshops and factories nearby. Our place is pretty basic. We handle shoes, and there’s always a lot of them. We spend a lot of time packing and checking sizes. It’s not the kind of job you do if you want to stay clean. There’s glue, leather dust, and boxes everywhere. We have a small team of workers who have been with us for a long time. We know each other’s families and we help each other out. S. V. Road is always busy with traffic, so getting things in and out can be a challenge. We don't have any polished slogans or mission statements. We just try to get the shoes out the door so we can get paid and come back tomorrow. It’s a practical way to live. Some people might find it boring, but we take pride in finishing a big shipment. We’ve had our share of broken machines and late deliveries, but that’s life in an industrial estate. G Shoe Export isn't anything fancy, just a group of people working hard at No. 1 Hitel. We do what we can with what we have and keep the production line moving.
