There’s a lot of typing involved. Sometimes the scanner doesn’t want to read a barcode and we have to do it manually, which takes forever. It’s just us here, doing the daily grind. We aren't some big faceless machine; we’re just the people you see behind the counter every day. We know the local chai wallah and the postman. It’s a neighborhood vibe despite the big name on the sign. We stay until the last truck leaves, and then we lock up and head home like everyone else on Adajan Road. It’s a busy life but we wouldn't have it any other way.
