Crystal Exports

Unit No 29 in the Universal Indl Est is where we spend most of our time. Crystal Exports has been based here in Goregaon East on Issaji Street for a good while now. It’s a typical industrial estate vibe—lots of units, lots of people moving things, and the constant sound of transit. Our unit is mostly filled with boxes and items ready to go out. We handle exports, so there’s always a lot of packing and labeling going on. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us on our toes. The space is a bit tight sometimes, especially when a new shipment comes in and we have to find a place for everything. We don’t have a fancy showroom. If you come by, you’ll mostly see us taped up in boxes or checking lists. The street outside, Issaji Street, can get pretty jammed up with tempos and delivery vans, so we’ve learned to be quick with our loading. We’re just a small group of people making sure things get from point A to point B without any issues. We don’t really use big words to describe what we do. We just pack the stuff, make sure the paperwork is right, and send it off. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we’ve got a good system down by now. It’s just how we make a living in this part of Mumbai, and we're used to the pace.
