Down here in Mulund West, we just run this little spot for corn. It’s a pretty simple setup really. We have the big steamers going all day and the smell of the corn fills the space. People walking by usually stop because they want something warm to snack on while they walk around. We use those paper cups and put in whatever toppings people ask for. It’s not a big restaurant or anything, just a small place where you can get a quick cup. The weather in Mulund can get a bit humid, so having the steam from the pots makes it feel even warmer in here. We spend a lot of time shucking and getting everything ready before the afternoon crowd shows up. School kids and office folks are our main customers. They want something cheap and fast. We try to keep the area clean, but with the butter and spices, it can be a bit of a challenge. We’ve been in this part of Mulund for a while now and we know the street pretty well. It’s a lot of standing and stirring, but it’s what we do. We don't have a big menu, just the corn and a few different ways to flavor it. It’s basic work, but it keeps us busy from morning until we close up at night. Sometimes we run out of napkins or the spices get a bit clumped up in the humidity, but we just fix it and keep going. Just a normal local business.
