Our office is tucked away in Bungalow No 191 over in Andheri West. If you know the area near the Versova Telephone Exchange, we are right around there in Svp Nagar. It’s a bit of a maze with all the Mhada buildings and small lanes, but we like being in a house instead of a big glass tower. It feels more like home. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or running around trying to organize things for different events. There are always piles of folders and site maps laying around the tables. It gets pretty loud in here when a big project is coming up but that is just the nature of the work. Sometimes we sit out in the small yard when the weather is decent to talk through things. The neighbors are used to us by now even though we sometimes have stuff being loaded or unloaded at odd hours. Being in this part of Andheri is convenient because everything we need is just around the corner. We have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit with new cafes and shops opening up every other month. It is a busy life but we enjoy the pace. The bungalow has its quirks like the old wiring and the way the door sticks in the monsoon but it suits us just fine. We just focus on getting the details right for whoever we are helping.
