Comfort Shoes

Comfort Shoes is located at 205 in the Cama Industries building. We are right in the Sunmill Compound in Lower Parel (West). It is a classic Mumbai spot with old buildings and lots of energy. We have been here for a while, making and selling shoes that do not pinch your toes. The space is a bit industrial, as the name of the building suggests. We have shelves full of different sizes and styles. It is not a shiny mall store with bright lights. It is a place where you can smell the materials and actually see the work being done. Sometimes it is a bit messy with leather scraps and empty boxes, but that is just how we work. We talk to people about what they need, maybe they have wide feet or need something for standing all day. We just listen and find what fits them. The afternoon sun hits the windows and makes it pretty warm, so we keep the fans going. It is a lot of walking back and forth to the stockroom. We are not trying to be a big global brand. We just want to make shoes that people in the neighborhood and beyond find useful for their daily lives. Lower Parel has changed a lot, with fancy offices moving in, but we just keep doing what we have always done in the compound. It is steady work and we like the regular people who stop by.
