Comet Media Foundation

Our space is on the first floor of the Topiwala Municipal School building. It’s an interesting spot because we share the building with the actual school activities. We are on Topiwala Lane, right across from the Lamington Road Police Station. If you know Grant Road, you know how busy this whole area is. There’s always the sound of kids playing or teachers talking in the background. Comet Media Foundation is a bit of a quiet corner in a very loud neighborhood. The rooms are old with high ceilings and big windows that let in a lot of dust from the street. We do a lot of our work on old wooden tables. It’s not a polished media house with glass walls. It’s more like a workshop or a library. We have shelves full of old tapes, books, and papers. Sometimes the electricity flickers when the rains are heavy. We’ve been here for quite some time, so we’re part of the furniture now. The police station across the street means there’s always something happening outside, police vans coming and going. We don't have a fancy entrance. You just walk up the stairs like everyone else. It’s a practical place where we focus on our media projects without any fuss. Most people who visit us are surprised at how tucked away we are inside a school building. It’s a humble setup, but it works for what we need to do.
