You’ll find Codred Films Pvt Ltd on the 2nd Floor of Yashodhan CHS. We’re located in Bapu Nagar, Khar West, which is a lively part of the city to be in. We are quite close to Sav India. Our space isn't like the big flashy studios you might imagine. It’s an apartment we converted into a working office. There are wires everywhere and a few computers that are always running hot. We spend most of our days editing or planning out the next shoot. Khar West is a great neighborhood because there’s always something interesting happening right outside the window. We started this company because we just wanted to tell stories and make videos without all the corporate red tape. It’s often just a few of us staying late, eating takeout while we look at footage. The building, Yashodhan CHS, is older and has that classic Mumbai feel to it. Our neighbors are mostly families, so we try to keep the noise down when we’re working late. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy reception desk. People find us because they’ve seen our work or someone recommended us. It’s a bit of a climb to the second floor, but the light is good. We’re just a small group of people who love the process of making films. It’s not always easy, but being here in Bapu Nagar makes it feel real.
