Cocheta Chocolates

Cocheta Chocolates is actually run out of our place at Sannidhi Park in Mulund East. We are in Flat No B 703, so it is not your typical storefront on the main road. We are right opposite the Response Store, which makes it easier for people to find the building. Making chocolates started as something small in the kitchen and it just kind of took over the whole flat eventually. Most days the whole hallway smells like cocoa and sugar, which the neighbors do not seem to mind too much. We do everything ourselves, from melting the chocolate to packing the boxes on the dining table. It gets pretty hectic around holidays, and we often have cooling trays sitting in every available space. It is a home business through and through. We do not have a team of professional chefs or a big factory. It is just us and our chocolate molds. Sometimes the tempering does not go right and we have to start over, which is frustrating but part of the job. Mulund East is a nice, quiet area compared to the rest of Mumbai, which we like. We do not do much in the way of fancy advertising. Most people hear about us from their friends or family members who have tried our stuff before. We just try to make something that tastes good and get it out the door. It is a messy, sweet business, but it keeps us busy.
