Citi Land Express

Our place is over at Mapala House on the first floor. The address is 135/13 Fort Reary Road, which usually stays pretty busy with people and vehicles moving around all day long. Being on the first floor is nice because we don't have to climb too many stairs, and it makes it easier for people to drop off things. The building itself is an older one, so it has that specific smell of old wood and stone. Inside, we have a lot of space taken up by boxes and logbooks. We spend a lot of time checking labels and making sure everything is headed to the right spot. It’s a bit of a maze in here sometimes with all the stacks of items waiting to go out. We have a small table where we sit to have our lunch and talk about the news. The light coming through the windows isn't very bright, but we have enough lamps to see what we are doing. We’ve got a couple of delivery bikes parked out front most of the time. It’s not a quiet office by any means, as there is always the sound of tape dispensers and heavy footsteps on the floorboards. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights outside. People just know Mapala House and find their way up to us. We stay busy from morning till evening, just making sure the work gets finished before the day ends.
