Cipla

We are located right on St Dominic Road in Bandra West, up on the second floor of Ebenezer. It’s flat number 202. If you know Mumbai, you know how Bandra is—always a bit crowded and full of life. The building itself is one of those older residential ones that has a lot of character. Getting up to the second floor is a quick walk up the stairs, which are a little narrow. Once you’re inside the office, it’s actually quite calm compared to the honking and noise from the street outside. We have a few desks squeezed in and some chairs for people to sit when they come in to talk. There’s a small kitchenette where we make tea about three times a day. We don’t have a big reception desk or anything, just a space where the work happens. Cipla has been operating from this flat for a while now. It feels more like a home than a stiff office. The windows let in some light, but we usually keep the curtains half-drawn because of the afternoon sun hitting the glass. It’s a tight space, but it’s efficient for what we need to do. We keep things simple here without any of those fancy modern decorations you see in the new business parks. It’s just us, some computers, and a lot of folders stacked up on the shelves. There is a small balcony, but we mostly use it to keep the cleaning supplies and boxes.
